As you read this, thousands of animals are suffering on the streets or are being euthanized in animal shelters. Most will never know the touch of a loving hand or the warmth and security of a home.
We are a no-kill, tax-exempt, non-profit charitable organization. We are very aware of and deeply concerned with the plight of suffering homeless animals.
Valley Cats, Inc. is dedicated to rescuing cats and kittens in need. We occasionally also rescue puppies and dogs. Our goal is to find loving homes for each and every aniimal in our care.
We make certain that the medical needs of the animals are attended to - vaccinations, spaying, neutering, medication -whatever is required to help them prepare them for adoption. We reach out the community. We hold open houses for school children and their teachers. We also put aside time for people to come in and learn about caring for animals and how to be a responsible pet owner. We are always available to those who have a pet-related problem.
Love for the animals and concern about the increasing number of homeless pets requires positive and constructive measures.
You can help by personal involvement as a volunteer and by your donations (whatever you can afford) which are tax-deductible. Helping make homeless pets more adoptable by sharing your time and love with them offers a great sense of satisfaction.
Volunteers are the heartbeat of our organization. They drive to the veterinarians, return phone calls in response to our ads, check our prospective homes and make follow-up home visits after adoption. Foster homes are often needed for special cases. These include "only" cats, senior cats, recuperating cats, kittens and/or nursing mothers. If you are interested in donating your time, please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 818-883-5252.
If you are interested in adopting a cat to become a part of your family, please call us at 818-883-5252. An experienced volunteer will assist you in finding the cat of your dreams!
