All About T-Bar

True Blue Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of animals throughout Texas.

True Blue Animal Rescue assists law enforcement by rehabilitating and finding homes for animals that are removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. We also run a community networking Facebook page - RAIN Networking - used to help owners find homes for pets they can no longer care for and owners in times of personal disaster. We help control pet overpopulation by providing spay assistance for pets when their owners can't afford to do it themselves. T-Bar also holds ABLE (Animal's Bridge Love and Education) kid's camps to educate children about animal rescue and how to properly care for and approach animals.

True Blue Animal Rescue is funded entirely by donations and is an all-volunteer run organization, so donations go directly toward the care, feeding, and veterinary needs of the many animals that come our way.

How to Adopt a T-Bar Animal

The $110 adoption donation for dogs and $75 adoption for cats helps cover some of the costs of spaying/neutering, current vaccinations, and deworming for the animal. Both adoption fees include a one-year membership to T-Bar and you will receive our annual T-Bar Newsletter that is mailed out in late November every year. If the animal is not yet old enough to be spayed or neutered and receive its rabies vaccination, the adopter will receive a certificate for the animal to be spayed or neutered and receive its rabies vaccination once he or she becomes of age.

If you cannot adopt, please consider fostering an animal. We are always looking for foster homes to help give these dogs and cats individual attention and lots of love. We often receive abused or neglected animals who need a foster home where they can heal.

Equine adoption fees range from $100-$600 depending on the animal's health, age, veterinary expenses, and training. Thanks to our generous supporters, several of our horses are able to be sent to a trainer so they can receive the training needed to become more adoptable. Other horses in the program receive some training from our volunteer staff.
