About Us

We offer in home dog training, pet sitting and dog walking in the south bay area of LA County.  A brochure is available via email upon request.  We have been serving the south bay since 2000.

WE NEED FOSTER HOMES IN THE SOUTH BAY AREA OF LA COUNTY.  l only take in a limited # of dogs per year now into my rescue. They are usually critical situations and I have to make a judgement call.  I will continue to keep my websites active as I currently have six dogs to place plus I am converting my rescue format.  I started posting corgis for direct adoption at shelters and have gotten some good results. I will now call myself the "corgi matchmaker".  Since I have been doing my thing for a quarter of a century, my rescue is known for corgis,
both pure and mix.  I will match applicants to dogs at shelters.  I also will continue to do courtesy posts for a couple of other independent rescuers.  Last but not least, I will continue to work with owned corgis for rehoming as long as their owners can continue to keep them until a good home is found.  I did this with two senior Pembroke females last year that had special needs and found good homes
for them.  On the latter, I will use my placement format with hmcks, donation, etc.

I am not leaving rescue, I'm just lightening my load.  I feel after 28.5 years, its time to lighten the intensity of my rescue.

Adopting A Friend

Our adoption process includes: completion of a pre adopt application, homecheck, two week or longer trial period, followup visit if applicable (not for long distance placements), an adoption contract, adoption donation which is posted on each dog's bio and lifetime return of our adopted dogs. We look for forever homes and do not place our dogs with families with small children under the age of 8 years unless they are extremely well mannered with diligent parents who supervise the youngsters with the dogs at all times.

Who We Are

We are a rescue group located in the southbay of Los Angeles County, Ca.  We have been doing rescue of corgis, pure and mix, and small dogs since February 1988.  We estimate with our intake of rescued dogs, owner assist and direct referrals to shelters along with courtesy postings for independent rescuers, we have found homes for over 2200 dogs

We currently have 5 dogs in rescue and also have independent rescuers who we post on our website as courtesy posts who have dogs for adoption.  In addition, we post primarily corgis, mixes and pure, and other herding dog breeds that are at various animal shelters at risk for euthanasia and avl for direct adoption.  All information for each dog is contained in their bios.  If a dog is at an animal shelter, please read the bio and who to contact for more information.  We take the time to "spell it out" and appreciate it if you "take the time to read it in full".  We do not have an established venue to showcase our adoptable dogs.  However, we set up meet/greets at certain venues or parks after a qualified pre adoption application has been completed.
