Humane Society of Granville County

Our Pet List

GRANVILLE COUNTY SHELTER IS OVERCROWDED At this time the Humane Society of Granville County is concentrating on getting animals adopted from our County Shelter. We have suspended our Foster Program as there were no foster homes available. Instead we have focused on fundraising and education and will continue to try to make life better for the animals in our county.

Volunteers Needed

Won't you consider fostering for the Humane Society of Granville County? Due to lack of foster homes, we only have a few animals in foster care at a time, though hundreds more need our help.

Who We Are

Founded in June 1992, the Humane Society of Granville County is a non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to helping the animals of Granville County, North Carolina and the surrounding areas. Our activities include fostering and adoption of unwanted pets, public education, and sponsoring low cost spay/neuter programs as well as rabies clinics. We currently hold a seat on the Granville County Animal Advisory Board and are working with the county to improve the current Animal Control Facility.

If interested in animals at the county run shelter, please call Granville County Animal Control at (919) 693-6749.
