For the Love of Dogs is having a fundraiser during the months of April and May and all you have to do is donate used or gently worn shoes. Any kind of shoe is acceptable - athletic shoes, dress or casual shoes, boots, work shoes, baby or children's shoes, etc. We must collect at least 2,500 pairs of shoes to get $1,000. All you need to do is clean out your closet and kill two birds with one stone. You can call me at 423-488-3471 to pick up shoes or take them to any of the donation box locations listed below. This list will be updated as we add more locations. If you have a business where we can place a donation box, please contact me, and I will bring a box to your location. We appreciate any donation. Since we rescue mostly senior and/or special needs dogs, the money from this fundraiser will go to help medical expenses for these special dogs.

After many years of rescuing all breeds and ages, For the Love of Dogs is now focusing on rescuing senior dogs. We are still full because there have been so many senior babies left behind when their families can no longer care for them. Our kennels are full and overflowing. We are an all-breed rescue and have mostly middle aged to senior dogs of all sizes. Please consider fostering a dog even if you can't adopt, and please spay or neuter your pets.

PETMEDS has everything we need to keep our pets healthy. Check out their website, www.1800PetMeds.com, to keep your pets healthy.

For the Love of Dogs exists solely through donations. Donations are tax deductible. We rescue mostly senior dogs who may not be adopted as quickly as younger dogs. Donations are necessary to provide medical care for these sweet senior babies through no fault of their own have been surrendered to a shelter.
