After many years of rescuing all breeds and ages, For the Love of Dogs is now focusing on rescuing senior dogs. We are still full because there have been so many senior babies left behind when their families can no longer care for them. Our kennels are full and overflowing. We are an all-breed rescue and have mostly middle aged to senior dogs of all sizes. Please consider fostering a dog even if you can't adopt, and please spay or neuter your pets.
For the Love of Dogs exists solely through donations. Donations are tax deductible. We rescue mostly senior dogs who may not be adopted as quickly as younger dogs. Donations are necessary to provide medical care for these sweet senior babies through no fault of their own have been surrendered to a shelter.
If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs in Tennessee, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org for an application. The adoption fees range from $150 - $200 depending on age of the dog if adopted locally. Out of area adoptions are $200 plus a transport fee . The fee includes spay/neuter, all vaccinations, heartworm check, deworming, and flea/tick preventative.
