Our shelter is located on Hwy 119 South, just off Hwy 21 By-Pass. Call for directions if you are not familiar with the area.
We accept and appreciate all types of donations for our furry friends.
We currently are in need of flea & tick prevention, bleach, laundry soap, dish soap, oil dry.
Our adoption hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:30am to 4:30 pm and Monday and Thursday from 1:00pm to 4:30pm.
Due to the possibility of unforeseen emergencies, we suggest calling ahead before dropping off animals.
Office and Kennels are closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Proof of Effingham County residency is required to drop off any animal.
The pets at our shelter are both strays and owner turn-ins. Strays must be kept a minimum of 3 days before they are available for adoption.
Upon adoption, an appointment will be scheduled by the shelter staff for petís spay / neuter. All animals are to remain at the shelter until their appointment date, after which they may be picked up by adopter from the clinic performing the operation. No animal is to leave the shelter before being altered - no exceptions.
