Meet Badger who came to us from a local shelter where he had been left. He is a bit on the shy side and is looking for a home that is willing to work with him so he can learn people aren't so bad. He is such a handsome fella and wants a home to call his own. He is presently located at one of our foster homes in Yorkville.!!!
CRITTER CORRAL’s 14th Annual PIGNIC!!! Sunday - June 4th - Bemis Woods in Western Springs - Grove 5 - 12 to 4!! All guinea pigs are invited as well as your guinea pig slaves! Please be sure to bring an enclosure for your guinea pig and a dish for people to share. We ask that you bring one of the following items as a donation: garbage bags, paper towels, stamps, copy paper, legal size envelopes, guinea pig food or hay, kiln dried pine bedding. The Critter Corral is a small animal rescue specializing in guinea pigs. We were founded in April, 1999. As of January 1st we have taken in over 4000 homeless and unwanted Guinea Pigs! 95% of the Guinea Pigs in our rescue come from shelters and animal controls.
Who we are: The Critter Corral is a rescue run out of private homes with a small group of volunteers. All adoptions are done by appointment only. (or something along those lines. everyone seems to think we have a shelter)
Adopting a friend
There is an adoption application, adoption fee, and contract required. If there is someone specific that you would like to see please contact us at email@example.com Adoption fee is $25 to $35 per guinea pig. The adoption fee helps to cover feeding, bedding and medical care of the Guinea Pigs in the rescue. Please contact us for more information.

This is a great way to help us care for the elderly and special needs piggies that come into the rescue. Many are normally euthanized at shelters due to their age.
