a> Dog bones and Summer Fun! Some love and cuddling, a safe home. That would make a shelter dog very happy in Summer. Would you consider opening your home to a foster dog in need?
Our Featured Pet...
Fitzgerald is a very nice, very gentle Pointer X Our best guess he is some sort of Hound. Just look at those ears!.
Poe is a very playful boy! He is about a year old. He is currently in a foster home with 3 other male dogs and gets along very well with them. He is fine with female dogs as well.
We would love to see Poe go to a wonderful furever home.
We normally say Hunters need not apply. However their is an exception for every rule. We would consider a hunting home for Caroline, however their would be a very strict screening process and terms added to her contract.
We have been asked many times why we state Hunters Need Not Apply. We understand their are wondreful hunters who take outstanding care of their dogs and treat them like family.
However, the dogs we see come through have been abused and neglected. Some have been forced to live outside and treated harshly. Quill and Cal have frost bite. Cinder was almost choked to death with a choke collar (We are 110% against Choke Collars). Poor Josie is terrified of just about everything. These are just the dogs we know were surrendered by hunters. Caroline's owner was done hunting, so he took her to a 90% kill shelter. Riley, who is Heartworm Pos. was a "Hunting Reject" and dropped at an 80% kill shelter by a hunter.

Many of our dogs come in afraid -- having neve known the love of a human. They need a safe place to call hoe where they can rest their heads, get a good meal, and lots of love. A foster home can be short term (over night mid-travel) or long term (until adoption). If you are interested in being a Cricket's Corner Foster Family, we would welcome you with open arms (and paws).
Why Cricket's Corner?
We adopt ONLY to homes where the dogs will be kept as pets -- not as hunting dogs.
While there are MANY caring hunters who treat their dogs with love and respect, many of our dogs came from abusive backgrounds as hunting and outdoor only dogs. We want to give them the best life imaginable as a well-loved pet in a nice, warm home.
100% of your adoption donation goes back to the dogs -- current and future.
The adoption fees for dogs 0-12 months old are $375 and dogs over 1 year old are $275 no matter the amount of money invested for medical care (including heartworm treatment, worming, spay/neuter, shots, and infections). Every dog goes home with a microchip, spayed/neutered, and up to date on shots.
We are always there for family members.
When you adopt a Cricket's Corner dog, you are becoming a part of our rescue family fur-ever. We are always here to help you with any questions that may arise from training issues to helping you find the next furry member of your family. All you need to do is call.
Who We Are
