In order to provide the best matches possible, our screening process
includes an application, interview and home visit. Animals are spayed or neutered before placement. Contact us for more information.

If you are looking to rehome your dog of any of those breeds, please contact us.
When you contact us about finding a new home for your dog, please
provide the following: Age, breed, where you acquired the dog, reason for wishing to rehome the dog and any medical and behavioural information. Wherever possible, please include a photo. Our screening process for new owners will ensure your dog will be placed in a good, loving home that understands the commitment of owning an animal.
Away to Me Border Collie Rescue, rescues, rehabilitates and places adoptable border collies and similar breeds.
We are also a part of the Rescue Dog Collective is made up of a small group of rescuers helping rehome/refer adoptable dogs in Nova Scotia and other Maritime provinces. All members have been actively involved in dog rescue for years and came together through similar goals and values.

Our biggest goal in rescue is making good matches for the dogs and new families. We work with all potential adopters to help them find a dog who is a good match for their needs and lifestyle.
We do not have a shelter facility, but foster dogs in our homes and
volunteer's homes in order to evaluate and responsibly place the dogs.
