Who We Are

BARK is a Non-Profit, No Kill, All Volunteer Animal Rescue Organization whose purpose is to address the problem of over population of companion animals in Pima County in two ways: *Provide foster home care and adoption services primarily for pregnant and nursing mothers and young animals. *Promote education and provide low cost spay/neuter subsidy to the public to prevent the birth of so many unwanted pets.

Our Featured Pets...

The regular adoption fee for our medium/large breed puppies is $100.00. Small breed puppies are traditionally $150.00. The regular adoption fee for our adult dogs is $50.00. At this point in time we can only accept cash as method of payment. No checks, debit cards, or credit cards! Also, Petco doesn't have the ability to offer cash-back, so please go to an ATM first.

If you would any of the pets on our list, please come in on Saturday from 11-3 at PETCO, 585 Wetmore Road, in the same strip mall as Best Buy and Walmart Neighborhood Market, east of the Tucson Mall. Please message through Facebook ( or email specifics and inquire about an individual dog, in order to make sure we bring him/her that following Saturday to meet you.

More About Us

We are a small group of dedicated volunteers and foster families helping find dogs and cats forever homes in the Tucson community. All of our animals are housed in foster homes with other animals, so we've had a chance to see them in a "family" environment and interacting with other animals.

BARK is focused mainly on young rescues. Community animal control facilities often do not have the resources to take care of pregnant animals or mothers with young puppies or kittens. For this reason, they are euthanized. We take these pregnant mothers and young animals into foster homes and provide the care they need until they are old enough for adoption into their forever homes.

We are always looking for new VOLUNTEERS to help at our adoption site. We are also looking for foster homes. If you can help in either of these areas, please stop by our PETCO adoption site on Saturday and we can answer any questions you have and give you an application form. We provide training for all foster families and adoption counselors/teen volunteers. Thank you in advance.
