The Litter League (Rescue League)
The Litter League
Rescue League dba The Litter League values the therapeutic and humanizing value provided by the companionship of animals; especially for individuals who may be isolated because
they are elderly, disabled or economically disadvantaged. The mission of The Litter League is to improve the quality of life of these individuals and the animals they care for by providing a holistic
approach to animal rescue. The Litter League does this by providing direct assistance and by working in collaboration with other animal rescue programs and organizations to facilitate utilization of
these services. There is no charge for services but participants are expected to cooperate with rescue efforts including spay/neuter of all
animals. The Litter League may help with trap/neuter/return of feral cats and colony management, assisting with utilization of low cost spay/neuter of companion animals and rehoming of
companion animals when necessary. In 2015 we took in 263 animals from the public.. 111 healthy, 148 treatable and 4 unhealthy. 250 cats were adopted; 121 health, 129 treatable. 5 cats were euthanized for serious illness for which no affective treatment is available (FIP, severe neurological impairment). No animals were euthanized due to limited space.
Rescue League is a proud recipient of funding from Maddie’s Fund (www.maddiesfund.org) helping to achieve a no-kill nation. #ThanksToMaddie
