animal F.A.I.R. (Foundation for Animals In Risk) a small, all-volunteer, no-kill, foster-based rescue in Sedalia, Missouri

Unfortunately, due to many reasons, we are no longer taking in dogs. We have changed our mission to a Cat & Kitten rescue. The few dogs we have are in need of great homes. See the links provided for resources if you need help with stray dogs. We are very sorry!!!

Who We Are

Animal F.A.I.R. is a group of dedicated volunteers rescuing cats from abuse, abandonment, neglect, illness and more. We are a non-profit, no kill animal rescue based in Sedalia, Missouri. Our rescues are placed in foster homes, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, ensured physical and emotional health, good socialization, and then adopted into carefully screened homes. We also educate the community on responsible pet ownership and encourages spay/neuter to prevent pet overpopulation.

Unfortunately, we get many inquires about taking in animals. Our key problem is not enough foster homes and/or volunteers. We have a very small core group of volunteers handling adoption events, fundraising, care giving, and an array of other duties that it takes to properly care for the animals in our system. The answer is, more often than not, we do not have room. We are always very regretful when we have to say no to intakes. Homeless animals are an epidemic problem in our community. We need community involvement. Can you help us help them? Go to the volunteer section below to learn more!;

Volunteer or Donate!

Please help animal F.A.I.R. by contributing your time, talents, or money. We need foster homes for cats, and volunteers to help with data entry, website updates, equipment tracking, and driving animals to vet appointments. Volunteers who can help at our adoption events are also welcome. To volunteer, please click here fill out the form, or send an email to and let us know how you would like to help.
We are always in need of cash for food, supplies, and veterinary expenses. That includes spay/neuter surgery, all vaccinations, heartworm tests for dogs, and feline leukemia and FIV tests for cats. If a rescued animal needs treatment for an illness, which is common, then the cost is higher. To donate using a credit card, please click the button below:
