Who We Are

All Breed Rescue and Adoption, Inc. is a small, no-kill, all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to taking in dogs and cats in need finding loving, responsible homes for the dogs and cats in our care. Our dogs and cats are housed in foster homes giving them the opportunity to become adjusted to life in a loving home, until there forever home is found. ABRA will match the home to the best fit for our dogs and cats, this helps towards less chance of a return. Application, vet reference and home visit required for adoption. How To Adopt

We require a completed application with a vet reference to begin the process. To receive an application please call to meet a dog or cat or meet us at one of our scheduled events. References will be checked. The next step is to meet a dog or cat you are interested in adopting and meet with us and talk in detail about the type of animal you are hoping to adopt and the type of home you have to offer. We care deeply about all of our animals; we know their personality traits, behavior, and activity requirements and we want to make the perfect match. This is forever.

An adoption fee is required in order to pay costs incurred and to continue our rescue efforts. The adoption fee includes a exam, health certificate, spay/neuter, fecal exam/worming, rabies, distemper combo vaccination(s) following veterinary guidelines, heartworm test and preventitive (6 months& older) and flea and/or tick treatment.

We strongly advocate crate training as a tool to help your dog adjust to his or her new home and to teach housetraining in a kind and effective manner. It is an effective tool for your dog allowing time out away from children, company, muliti-dog households, and it provides security when left alone. Dogs are instinctively den animals, the crate serves as a den. To a dog it is a small, secure, safe space and they do not want to soil this area. Trained properly the crate will become a comfortable retreat for your dog, one in which he or she will enjoy relaxing and sleeping in.
