About Us

Adopting A Friend

Adoptions fees only cover about 1/3-1/2 of the cost to fully vet and provide care for each homeless animal. Please consider becoming a member of our rescue also. You can do that on our webpage.

Fee  to adopt a dog or puppy is $200 which covers spay/neutering, vaccines, heartworm and lymes testing.

Fee to adopt a cat or kitten is $65 which includes spay/neuter, vaccines and testing for feline leukemia and FIV.

All pets will be tested and receive vaccines as age appropriate. If the animal is too young at the time of adoption to receive certain tests or vaccines, it is the adopter's responsibility to keep them up to date with their personal vet, at their own cost.

We require 2 personal references, vet reference and a home visit.

Applications can be found on our website.

Who We Are

We are a no-kill, non-profit 501(c)3 rescue presently operating through fosters. We are always in need of more fosters because the more we have, the more homeless pets we can save. Our hopes are to have an actual physical site soon and we are fundraising to make that a possibility Because we are a no-kill rescue, we do not receive any governmental monies outside of grants. We rely on the generous donations of pet lovers to care for our animals.

We like to think that our rescue is 3-fold:

1) Education: We want to educate, especially children, on the importance of caring for animals and stopping the cycle of animal abuse. We also want to teach others who may not know, the proper care for animals including the need for spaying or neutering and vaccination of their pets.

2) Prevention: We want to help people keep their pets in their loving homes instead of ending up in a rescue or shelter. We do this with "Bella's Bounty" where we temporarily provide food and vet assistance for those who are going through a hardship such as a job loss and are facing the decision of giving up their pet because of finances. Once we get our physical building, we want to establish "Vet Pets" where members of the military who are deployed overseas will not have to face the tough choice of re-homing their pets while they are away. Friends Fur Life would provide a home for the animals of those who serve our country.

3) Rescue: We are there to help those animals that are in danger. We provide much needed vet care and find furever homes for them.
