Our Featured Pet...

Bully Bash 2009 was a huge success with a great turn out. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather and the surprises we had in store for them. This year's theme was "Pirates Cove". We enjoyed pirate food and even the suspense of a grand treasure hunt. All our bullies sported pirate hats constructed and donated by Robin McClain. We honored Ken Jellings who passed away this year. Ken was a founder of Bully Bash besides being a professional dog trainer all his life. His wonderful personality, lively jokes and dedicated service to Bulldog Rescue will be greatly missed by us all. We also give a Dog of the Year and Person(s) of the Year award.

Who We Are

Bulldog Rescue of Wisconsin is an affiliate of the 501(c3) Bulldog Club of America Rescue Network. We are members of The Bulldog Club of America and The Milwaukee Bulldog Club. English Bulldogs are an intricate part of our lives and families. Our organization consists of Rescue Volunteers who open their hearts and their homes to bullies in need. We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome English Bulldogs. We work closely with area Animal Shelters, veterinarians, and also take in private English bulldog surrenders. The most common reasons we receive rescues are: abandonment/strays, displacement through divorce or having to move, medical expenses. and no time for the dog.

Our Volunteers provide foster care and medical treatment to our rescues while finding them a new forever home. They are an actual part of our family living in our home which helps with any training issues or socialization some may need. We evaluate temperments and will not knowingly place and aggressive dog . Our bulldogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and given heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.

Adopting a friend

We carefully screen all applicants for adoption by phone interviews, in home visits and by checking the references they provide. We require all household members and any pets to meet the prospective bulldog in person prior to any adoption. Our goal is to find the best forever home for the rescued bulldog by carefully matching its needs with the right adoptor.

Prospective adoptors must complete an Application to Adopt which is found on the BCARN website apply to adopt! We also require an Adoption Contract ,which can be found on the above site, at the time of the actual adoption.

For assistance with applications, surrender or questions in general, contact Sue below:
