Door County Humane Society

Our Pet List

After you have decided that you would like to adopt one of our animals we will be happy to assist you with the adoption process. There is a application to fill out and we do ask for veterinarian and personal references. Upon approval, one of our staff members will contact you and we will discuss the adoption contract and any special instructions for your new family member.

We encourage spay and neuter as the only solution to our pet overpopulation problem. All animals adopted from the Door County Humane Society will be spayed or neutered prior to adoption as age appropriate.

Our Mission
The Door County Humane Society provides a safe haven for lost and homeless pets with the hope of reuniting them with their families or placing them in new loving homes. We strive to serve as an invaluable asset to our community. Our goal is to provide the highest level of care and compassion to each and every animal while providing a friendly, welcoming environment for visitors to the shelter and potential adopters. We are a not-for-profit organization which exists solely on private donations.

Volunteer Program
We can always use more volunteers to take care of our furry guests and all the many activities that make DCHS run smoothly. Please call us, visit the shelter, or go to our website to fill out a volunteer application.

To get to our shelter from U.S. Highway 57 coming north from Green Bay turn left on County PD, cross County Highway C and go about 1/4 mile. We are right across the street from the Cherryland Airport.

If you are coming from Sturgeon Bay, take County C to County PD and turn right.

You will find us set back far from the road up a long gravel driveway.
