Adopting A Friend

Adoption Fees:

  • Puppies (5 months and younger) - $200.00 + licensing
  • Adult Dogs (6 months to 7 years) - $125.00 + licensing
  • Senior Dogs (older than 7 years) - $75.00 + licensing
  • Kittens (5 months and younger) - $60.00
  • Adult Cats (6 months & older) - $30.00
  • Small & Furry - $20.00 (Does NOT include spay/neuter surgery or vaccinations)

Price Reduction for all Senior Citizens and Active Military Families - $15.00 off (Discount only applies to Puppy & Adult Dog Adoptions)


What does the adoption fee include?:

  • Rabies Vaccine (3-4 months & older)

  • 24PetWatch Microchip Implant & Registration
  • 30 days of Free 24PetWatch Pet Insurance

The Yakima Humane Society is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to serving and protecting the animals of Yakima County. Our mission is to end animal suffering and cruelty, reduce animal overpopulation and educate the public regarding responsible pet ownership while promoting community kindness and commitment to their welfare.

Come Visit Us

We are open to the public Monday through Saturday from 11:00 until 5:00 pm. We are closed all major holidays. We are off of Nob Hill Blvd. right across from K-Mart by the Arboretum.
