Summit Assistance Dogs

Our Pet List

Summit Assistance Dogs is a nonprofit organization that provides highly-skilled assistance dogs for people with disabilities. Occasionally we have dogs for adoption who do not meet the stringent requirements we have for a working assistance dog but who will make excellent pets or perhaps perform well in another working capacity. To adopt a dog, please first e-mail us to request an adoption application for the dog you are interested in. After reviewing your application, and phone conversation, if we (and you) feel there is a potentially good match, we will invite you to meet the dog and give us a chance to meet you. If you decide you would like to adopt the dog and the adoption is approved by our staff, an adoption contract will need to be completed. Adoption fees will vary depending on the breed, health care expenses, and amount of training invested in the dog.
Foster a Dog, Change a Life
Summit is always looking for dedicated foster homes to help raise and train service dogs for people living with disabilities. Long-term and short-term foster homes needed. Training and support provided.
