Who We Are
We are a small shelter located in the rural area of Springfield, Vermont. Our critter friends stay here where we love them, feed them, exercise them, play with them and do our best to spoil them until they find their Forever Home. We do not have any animals euthanized unless they are very ill and our vets cannot help them, or they remain unsafe with the public following behavioral assessments and implementation of a treatment plan. We have three Community Cat Rooms where the cats are free to roam all the time. On rare occasions we have someone who repeatedly acts aggressively towards the other cats. They stay in the room and we move them into a segregated space. Except for those cats, all cats are free to be wherever they wish to go in their kitty room. We welcome volunteers of all ages and encourage people to pay us a visit whenever we’re open. Best friends meet at Springfield Humane Society!
We have a multitude of FABULOUS dogs and GREAT cats.
There is a scenic trail around our 7 acre hay field where you can take the dogs for a walk and a large pen where you can toss balls and play with them. For the cats, we have the three large community rooms where you can introduce yourself to our many extraordinary felines.
We are well worth the trip and easy to find. Come on over and visit us.
