Hello, my name is Peabody and I am a 2 year old Jack Russell Mix.
I am a fun loving boy with a BIG personality to match.I love to play and get along with most of the other dogs here in rescue. My foster family was contacted by a shelter in southwest Virginia because they believed that I am a great dog with a lot of potential. We love this dog here at rescue. Peabody shows more and more of his personality every day. So as you can see, I have lots of great qualities.
I bet now you want to know how to adopt me. Please contact my foster mom at 540-752-1741 if you have additional questions (7 days a week from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM) or if you already know that I am the perfect "friend" for you, please fill out an application that can be found at www.secondchancedog.com. I hope to see you soon! My adoption fee is $285.00 which covers the cost of neutering, all my shots, my heart worm test and my microchip.

Second Chance Dog Rescue's mission is to give dogs that have found themselves homeless a second chance at finding a loving, forever home. The founders take care of everything involved in the rescue of the dogs including but not limited to:the initial intake of the dog, grooming, feeding, training, vet visits, home check and all the administrative functions.
Second Chance Dog Rescue prefers to take dogs that are at local shelters and have a greater chance of being euthanized. WE WILL CONSIDER YOUR SMALL DOG. WE REQUIRE THAT YOUR DOG BE CURRENT ON ALL SHOTS AND BE EITHER SPAYED OR NEUTERED AND HEART WORM NEGATIVE. WE WILL ALSO ASK FOR A DONATION TO COVER THE COST OF THE DOG'S FOOD AND HEART WORM PREVENTION UNTIL HE/SHE IS ADOPTED.
Second Chance Dog Rescue survives solely on adoption fees, surrender fees and any donations it is lucky enough to receive. Second Chance Dog Rescue IS NOT A SHELTER. Therefore we would ask that you respect us and the animals that we rescue by not calling after 8:00 PM.
We are located in the Fredericksburg, Virginia area. THESE DOGS DO NOT STAY IN OUR HOME.Please contact us by email, firstname.lastname@example.org, We will be happy to make arrangements for you to meet with one of our adoptable dogs. Please leave a day/evening phone number and let us know the best time to contact you. Most calls are returned in the evening.
