They are our great local rescues that are great to work with AND they spay, neuter and vaccinate all of their dogs.

Who We Are

ATTN: ALL RESCUES We are a public shelter that is funded by tax dollars. It is our policy to give the public first dibs on our dogs that are available for adoption. If after 7 days and we still have the dog, THEN, we allow rescues to come and get them. We need to give the public a chance to adopt pure bred labs, poodles, pugs and chihuahua's at our low adoption fee of $30. We are trying to get the dogs a FOREVER HOME so they are not bounced from rescue to rescue, but if we don't adopt them out in that 7 days, then you are more than welcome to take them and find them homes.

>>>>>>>>>>>> We are a KILL shelter, but our goal is to have to put down as few as possible or none for that matter (excluding vicious animals). We are trying to educate people about taking care of their pets by having them spayed or neutered to prevent all of these unwanted animals. People need to get dogs that are compatible with their lifestyles and maybe even the ages of their children. They need to realize that dogs are not just a 1 to 2 year commitment, its possibly a 10 to 15 year commitment. Most of these dogs are not pure breds, but that doesn't mean that they are not great ,friendly and sweet dogs and that they wouldn't make great pets for any type of lifestyle. ****************************************************************************>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

We have an adoption form that needs to be filled out and then approved(usually fairly quick process)

We charge $30 for all adoptions. You have 7 days to return the pet if it doesn't work out for a full refund. We have a voucher for 10% off of a Spay or Neuter if you go through one of our great local veterinarians. The adoption form is on our website you can print it off and bring it in to the Sheriff's Office at 835 East 300 North in Richfield or you can fax it to Julie at 435-896-6081.

************************************************************************************************************************************************************** ALONE AGAIN ************************************************************************** I wish that someone would tell me, what it is I've done wrong Why I have to stay chained up and left alone so long They seemed so glad to have me when I came here as a pup. There were so many things we'd do while I was growing up. They couldnt wait to train me, as companion and as friend They told me they would never fear being left alone again The children said they'd feed me, said they'd brush me everyday. They would play with me and walk me, if only I could stay. But now the family hasn't time, they often say I shed. They wont allow me in the house, not even to be fed. The children never walk me, They always say "not now" I wish that I could please them, wont someone tell me how? All I have is love, you see. I wish they would explain, why they said they wanted me then left me on a chain! *****************************************************************************
