Who We Are
Tutor Rescue was founded by Kim Grieff owner and certified trainer of The Pet Tutor, a dog training business in Tomball, Texas.
At times, Kim's clients have personal situations which required their dog or puppy be rehomed. Although Kim is an advocate of doing everything possible to keep dogs in their homes, there are times this just cannot occur. So Kim created Tutor Rescue.
Tutor Rescue takes only those animals from previous or current Pet Tutor clients. At times, Tutor Rescue will take in other homeless dogs and puppies, however this is determined on a case by case basis.
Adopting a friend
Bringing a dog into your home is an important decision. Consider all the inconveniences and sacrifices you may need to make before you adopt. Dogs are removed from the home for reasons not always justifiable for them. Job, marriage, relocation, children should all be addressed before adopting a pet. Consider the lifestyle changes that may take place. Will you keep your commitment during life changes? If you cannot commit a lifetime of companionship, love and care, it may be best to consider another type of companion.
Come Visit Us!
Tutor Rescue finds homes through Petfinder.com, adoption events, newspaper ads, websites and word of mouth. Individuals interested in adopting a Tutor Rescue pet must fill out an adoption application, be interviewed and complete an in-home visit in order to ensure the needs of both the individual and the pet are met.
When a pet is released to Tutor Rescue, it receives a health exam by a veterinarian, required vaccinations appropriate for its age, spay/neuter and any medical care necessary to maintain good health. The adoption fee for dogs & puppies is $125. If a puppy has not reached the age requirement to be spay/neutered a $50 refundable spay/neuter deposit will be required. All puppies must be spayed or neutered by the age of six months and proof must be submitted to Tutor Rescue in a timely manner. Deposit will be returned within 5 business days of receipt.
