AAR needs your help to raise the money to complete phase one of the new 10,000 sq ft facility that will replace the old building currently housing the adoptable pets.
This shelter is really making a difference in our community – in 2014, over 500 dogs and cats were rescued and adopted out; 14 lost pets were reunited with their owners. The spay/neuter and wellness clinic helps the public care for their pets at a reasonable cost.
Dogs 6+ months of age and older $125.00; puppies under 6 months of age $150
Cats 1 year of age and older $50.00; kittens/cats under 1 year of age $75.00
Some Purebreed dogs and cats are $200.00
All AAR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, and vaccinations are current. They're treated for fleas, wormed, and microchipped. Dogs are tested for heartworms, treated if positive, and on heartworm preventive; cats are tested for FeLV and FIV.
If for some reason the pet does not work out or you can no longer keep the pet, please call AAR first. We will work with you.
AAR believes all companion animals deserve to be treated humanely. Its mission is to end the unnecessary euthanasia of adoptable dogs and cats, and to place them in permanent homes for the duration of their lives and to properly educate the public about responsible pet ownership. To help reduce animal overpopulation, AAR’s low-cost spay and neuter program is offered at the shelter on select days. In addition to providing a shelter for abandoned animals, AAR has foster families for special needs animals, litters and rehabilitation.
AAR is a non-profit, no-kill shelter, adoption center, and affordable spay/neuter clinic managed and maintained by an all-volunteer staff (excepting veterinary personnel).
AAR is located at 419 E. Hufsmith in Tomball, TX 77375. Our hours for adoptions are Tuesday - Saturday from 10am - 2pm.
