You have the power to help...

Labrador Retriever Rescue of North Texas like almost every publicly supported, tax-free organization is dependent on the generous support of individuals just like you. On average we spend almost $500 on every dog we accept into our adoption program and our adoption fee only covers about half of this expense. Your donation, no matter how small, allows us to continue our rescue efforts. We know that times are tough and the economic situation is bleak. However, that very same situation is causing us to get an ever increasing request for help in placing Labrador Retrievers that have been caught up in these trying times. More and more families are having to down size. Many dogs are being displaced because their families are having to chose between keeping their beloved pet or having a roof over their heads or placing food on their table. Please, please consider helping in any way you can. Money is always welcome but we especially need families to step up and volunteer to act as foster families for those loving creatures who so desperately need our help. Contact us today to help save the life of a Labrador Retriever in need.

If you would like to make a donation to LRRNT to help offset some of the expenses involved in our rescue efforts or in the medical care of our special needs Labrador Retrievers please click on the "make a donation" link to donate via PayPal.

If you prefer, you may mail your donations via check or money order to:

Remember all donations are tax deductible.

Thank you!

Who We Are

We are a non-profit, all volunteer organization that operates in the entire North Texas area with special emphasis on the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. We are a tax free public supported 501(c)(3) organization. Our main emphasis is on the rescue of pure bred labrador retrievers.

Adopt a Labrador - Retrieve a Friend

To become a "forever" home for one of our labrador retrievers visit us on the internet at our website: and fill out an adoption application. Once the application is received it will be processed and you will be contacted by a volunteer who will answer any initial questions and schedule you for a home study visit. Upon passing the home study requirement the process can continue and we will attempt to match your needs and desires with an available dog. If you are interested in a particular dog and you let the volunteer who contacts you know it can sometimes be arranged to have the dog also visit your home during the home study. This can be especially helpful if there are other pets in the home and there are questions as to whether or not they will all get along. All questions about submitted adoption applications should be sent to Email:

The normal adoption fee for our program dogs is $250.00 which will help offset some of the costs involved in getting dogs current with shots, being tested for heartworms and placed on heartworm preventative medication, having tests for parasites and being altered prior to adoption. We also microchip all our dogs to assist in their identification should they become lost.
