Who We Are

Fila Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation staffed entirely by volunteers throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Our charitable and benevolent purpose is to find loving permanent homes for Fila Brasileiros, to provide these dogs with medical care and shelter in times of need, and to educate potential adopters about the uniqueness of this breed and the importance of sterilization.

We are a national organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing purebred Fila Brasileiros ONLY. Most of our dogs are rescued from shelters on the day they are scheduled to be euthanized. We're they're last hope for a chance to find a loving home.

Because we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all donations are tax-deductible. We are 100% volunteer based, and are constantly in need of financial support for our rescue program. Although we do get a small amount of funding from our adoptions, our vet bills, food, kennel fees, collars/leashes, blankets, dog houses and administrative expenses add up to more than we receive.

If you can find it in your heart to donate to our rescue program, we would greatly appreciate it! In addition to monetary donations, we would gladly accept any of the following:
  • dog food
  • standard collars
  • leashes
  • blankets
  • choke chains
  • prong collars
  • food/water bowls
  • crates
  • dog runs
  • X-pens
  • dog igloos
  • toys / treats
  • office supplies, ie: computer, printer, scanner, copier, fax, stamps, mailing supplies, etc.

    Adopting A Friend

We are not a shelter. Our dogs are shown by appointment only because most are housed at various foster homes or private boarding facilities. Please call or email for an appointment. Sorry, but we cannot hold dogs for potential adopters. Applications are recorded in the order they are received. If you see a dog you are interested in, please fill out an adoption application right away.
