Houston SPCA

Our Pet List

Founded in 1924, the Houston SPCA is the Gulf Coast's first and largest animal protection organization and shelter. Our mission is to promote commitment to and respect for all animals and free them from suffering, abuse and exploitation.

The Houston SPCA's life-saving programs and services include: sheltering; adoptions; foster care; lost and found e-bulletin board; spay/neuter of all adopted animals; cruelty investigations; disaster relief, rescue and recovery; humane education; the Critter Camp day camp, educating children ages 8 to 15; Houston's only 24-hour animal rescue ambulance; the PetSafe program, boarding domestic violence victims' pets for free while the individuals are seeking shelter; and pet training classes.

Almost all programs and services offered by the Houston SPCA are free of charge (exceptions: adoptions, pet-training classes and Critter Camp), and we proudly place 100% of our healthy animals into lifelong new homes. A complete list of our programs and services may be found at www.HoustonSPCA.org.
