Our Pets for Adoption
OUR ANGELS NEED SOME HELP: We are in desperate need of monetary donations to pay for vet work and dog food. We spend about $400 a month on dog food alone. Without donations, we have a hard time staying afloat. Any amount you can spare will definitely be put to good use. We receive no funding other than what we receive as donations and adoption fees. In most cases, the adoption fee does not cover the expenses we have put into these angels. We currently have a rescue that is heart worm positive and we need funds to pay for her treatment. We are PLEADING for your help. Check with your employer, some will match donations. We also need more foster homes and volunteers to help us at our weekly adoptions and transport some of our angels to the events. PLEASE HELP!
Please donate today, and help us continue to make a difference!

Angel's rescue was founded by Betty Wiley. She became concerned by the plight of dogs abandoned at a local lake, and began feeding them. Eventually she was able to catch some of the dogs, and find homes for them. Here we are today. Most of our animals are either rescued lake dogs, or are rescued from local animal shelters when their time is running out. We frequently have puppies available for adoption as well.
Angels Rescue is a small nonprofit (501(c)3 group comprised of volunteers who dedicate themselves to rescuing dogs. We are a "no kill" rescue group, operating solely on donations. We do not receive any type of government or institutional funding.
Our volunteers foster our rescue dogs in their own homes. Our rescue dogs are introduced to other dogs and then socialized within their foster family.
We normally spay/neuter each animal before they are adopted, with a few exceptions. If they are not spayed/neutered before the adoption (such as puppies), we will refund a portion of the adoption fee once we are provided with proof that the animal has been sterilized by a veterinarian. We provide all our rescue dogs with medical treatment, good food, exercise, love and all the socialization they need. For us to continue our level of care, your help is needed.

Adopting a New Friend
Our adoption process consists of filling out a pre-adoption questionnaire, which is then reviewed by an A.R.N.T. representative . An interview will then be scheduled. If approved, the adoption contract will be signed and the adoption fee paid. We do not ship dogs. Because we believe all dogs regardless of their size should have some sort of yard to explore and do their business, we do not adopt to apartment dwellers.
If you find an animal you really like, feel free to e-mail us for a pre adoption questionnaire so that you may fill it out and e-mail back to us for reveiw prior to scheduling a meet and greet with the animal you are interested in.
Adoption Fee Includes:
(Our adoption fee is between $150 and $350)
| Vet records
|| Age appropriate shots
| Heartworm preventive up to date (or being treated for heartworm)
| Any other vet care needed while in our care
|| Any training given while in our care
Each of our dogs is adopted as an indoor family pet, not as a outdoor watchdog, a breeding dog, or a fighting dog.
Each adopted animal must be spayed/neutered, even full breed or pedigreed animals. This is not an optional procedure, and it is mandated by state ordinances.
The full adoption process is required for each applicant.
Adopters are expected to keep their new pet current on all vaccinations, heartworm prevention, & other vet care as needed.
Each pet should be fed a high-quality dog food. Foods that list cornmeal as a primary ingredient are not typically what we would consider high quality. Some good brands include Walmart Pure Balance (3 Stars), Merrick Whole Earth Farms Grain Free (4 Stars), Iams Naturals (3 Stars) and Costco's Kirkland (4 Stars).
