City of Edna Animal Shelter
Our Mission
The City of Edna Animal Shelter has many adoptable dogs. Â We work very closely with the local rescue organization Jackson County Happy Tails, but we also adopt animals straight out of our pound. Â There is an adoption fee of $10 to the City of Edna, and we require you choose one of the two local vets where we will take the dog, and there you will pay the $30 for all the shots and a de-worming. Â You must have a current and valid drivers license to adopt from us, and all adoptions are subject to approval.
Adoption Policy
We will discuss with you how the animal you are interested in may or may not fit into your family. There is an adoption form we require and once we have determined there are no obstacles to the adoption, we will fill it out together. After that you will be directed to Edna City Hall to pay the $10 adoption fee. We are required to make certain the dogs have all their shots prior to leaving us, so we will transport the dog to one of our two local vets where you will pay the $30 for all the shots.
