We have too many wonderful dogs and puppies and cats and kittens to choose just one. Please take a look at all the great animals at the shelter who are waiting for homes.
We would like to thank all of you who have adopted from the shelter. A special thanks to those who drove from Austin, San Antonio, Houston, New Braunfels, and Kyle.
The Fayette County Animal Shelter is a non-profit community service organization, formed in 1994 to reduce the increasing population of dogs and cats abandoned on the roads of Fayette County. It was designated a tax-exempt 501(c)(3)organization in 1995. The original three members of the FCAS Board were ranchers who took in strays and adopted out as many as possible. Wal-Mart donated food and veterinarians were generous with their services. The board currently has thirteen members, and the present building was constructed, and the Shelter opened in December of 2000. To learn more, visit our website at http://www.fcas.org
The Shelter charges $60.00 to adopt a cat or dog. This fee includes a coupon for rabies shot and spaying or neutering of the animal. When animals are admitted to the Shelter, they receive their first shots and worming.
Shelter hours are Tuesday-Friday 10:00am to 4:00pm, and Saturday from 10:00am to 2:00pm Directions: We are located at 240 Svoboda Lane in La Grange, Texas. Svoboda Lane is off of business 71 west.
