PAL - Protective Animal League
Altering the World, One Pet At A Time

PAL's Pet List

PAL is...

a non-profit organization composed entirely of volunteers and committed to improving the health and welfare of cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies.

The Protective Animal League (PAL) was organized to help pet (companion) animals in North Texas by:
∑ Offering certificates for low-cost spays/neuters for use at participating area veterinarian clinics
∑ Providing adoption services and limited in-home foster care
∑ Educating the public regarding proper care and treatment of pets
∑ Obtaining necessary care for animals in need
∑ Engaging in limited animal rescue activity

Why Spay or Neuter?

There arenít enough good homes to go around, resulting in overcrowded shelters that must kill over 14 million animals a year, including 6-week old kittens and puppies. Many other pets are abandoned, killed or sold for medical research.

Sterilizing your pet will keep it from contributing to the animal over-population problem. Its behavior will change, making it calmer, gentler, happier and more affectionate. Sterilization also helps reduce the risk of your pet contracting certain diseases and cancers.

For a low cost spay or neuter in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, please contact us as listed at bottom.

Volunteer Opportunities

PAL is always looking for caring animal lovers to help in the areas of spay/neuter hotline, pet adoptions, foster homes, fund raising, special events, veterinarian coordinator, publicity, scrap book and newsletter.

Adopting a friend

Adopting from PAL is not like buying an object. We will ask you questions and give you information about the cat or dog you are interested in. Our goal is to place the right pet with the right person.
