Who We Are

We are a 501C3 non-profit organization in North Texas. All of our rescues are in caring foster homes where they are socialized, loved and receive much needed medical care. They are often rescued from shelters in deplorable condition in need of immediate medical attention, who have become afraid of people and are skeptical of everyone. Through our foster homes, these once abused Shih Tzu become loving, healthy, trusting companions, which we are then able to adopt out to families. Our follow up counseling helps to ensure that these Shih Tzu will become part of the family and never have to suffer neglect again.

Our adoption fee ranges from $180-$330 and is used to help defray the costs of basic medical care, and any additional medical needs of our fosters, to insure that the pet is as healthy as possible, well socialized and non-reproductive. Your adoption donation enables us to help another Shih Tzu in need. Many of these Shih Tzu, after months of neglect, often need more medical attention than just basic care. In these cases, fundraising efforts and donations are used to cover additional expenses above the "basic" care.

Adopting a Friend

All of our fosters are healthy, current on all vaccines, spayed or neutered, tested for heartworms and treated if needed, and on heartworm prevention. They are also microchipped.

Please note: Our fosters will only be placed in homes in the North Texas (Dallas, Ft. Worth, Greenville) area.

3 steps in the adoption process:

Step One:If you would like to adopt one of our pets please fill out our adoption application online as a first step.
Step Two: Please come out to visit with the dog you are interested in adopting! You may visit them at one of our Adopt-a-Pet locations in the metroplex. Please visit our website for dates, locations and times of our AAP'S.
Step Three: After you visit with us at a Meet and Greet we will then ask that you have your vet fax us the records for any pets currently in the home. All current pets must be spayed or neutered and on heartworm prevention.
