Adopting A Friend

Our adoption fee includes spay/neutering, vaccinations, testing and deworming. First, please realize we do not funding from any source other than you, the public.     Before adoption, ALL our dogs receive the same basic care.  They are spayed/neutered, (unless very young) brought up to date on their vaccinations and receive both heartworm preventative and flea treatment.  However, some animals are special cases.  These special cases are the rescues that require heartworm treatment at a cost of $300 to $500, while others may need emergency medical treatment because they have been abused or hit by a car.  And, these special cases may still need to be brought current on shots and spayed/neutered..   Some animals we rescue can, and do, have a vet bill exceeding $300.  Obviously when we spend $300 to $600 rehabilitating a rescue, we cannot set their Adoption Donation at that amount.  Therefore, your Adoption Donation is not always based on the amount spent on the particular animal you are interested in adopting.  Adoption Donations are sometimes used to assist the other pets in our care.  Please keep in mind that your Adoption Donation, allows us to rescue and rehabilitate other animals in need.

We thank you for supporting us in our mission to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home these deserving and wonderful animals.

We want to find good homes for these animals and require a completed application along with a few simple questions answered about your home to ensure the animals will be safe and both owner and pet will be happy.

If interested in one of our lovely pets please contact Betty for more information by email bakerrescue@aol.com. We will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have.
