Our Pet List

Who We Are

We are Oak Ridge Animal Shelter and Animal Control. We serve the City of Oak Ridge, Anderson County, and the City of Clinton. We also receive companion animals from surrounding counties. We will not turn animals away but must request a small fee from owners forced to turn in their pets. We have three full time Animal Control Officers, a part-time Shelter Assistant and three contract veterinarians. We rely heavily on our wonderful Volunteers. Our goal is to reduce the present euthanasia rate by promoting adoptions and working closely with Rescue Groups to find suitable homes for dogs and cats. Our hours are Tuesday -- Saturday 11:00 am- 6:00 pm (closed on City holidays).

Adopting a friend

Our adoption fee is $110.00. The fee covers spay/neuter surgery, first DHPP or FVRCP, microchip, standard worming for hooks & rounds, first flea treatment, toenail trim and rabies vaccine. Occult heart worm test, feline leukemia test, and kennel cough vaccine are all available for an additional fee. Adopters are required to take their pet to a veterinarian within five days of adoption. A healthy pet is not guaranteed.
