New! We are accepting birds and horses into our private rescue. If you are in need of placing your bird/horse, please call us at (931) 607-2180; If we do not answer, please leave a message and we'll call you back. Our focus is to help rehome displaced pets. Currently, we will not be accepting dogs or cats into our rescue at this time. If you have a dog or cat, we will assist in placing him or her. Because we do not have foster homes at present, you will need to provide housing while we work to find a new home. If you are interested in adopting a dog or cat, please contact animal rescues or shelters. Do not buy an animal from a breeder because there are many homeless animals that need a home! If you are in Warren County, TN, Warren County Animal Control, (931)LOS-DOGS, (931)507-3647 if you are interested in a local adoption or volunteering. We welcome you to stop by and see what we do.

Who We Are

Middle Tennessee Animal Rescue is a grass roots effort to rehome many of our homeless pets in McMinnville and Rock Island, TN.
Adopting a friend
Please know that parrots/birds are a huge responsiblity and frequently can outlive humans. They are very intelligent and being shuffled between homes is traumatic. Also, neglecting them can cause serious mental and physical health issues.
We only adopt parrots to qualified individuals who truly are committed to the lifelong responsiblity of living this unique and special animal.
To adopt an animal from Middle Tennessee Animal Rescue, you will need to fill out an adoption application and speak with Kirsten. We try very hard to match the right people with the animals that would be a forever match. Different animals have different needs as do people. The fee can vary depending on type of animal and situation. This will include, vaccines, worming, health issues addressed while in our rescue. Usually the amount will be posted on the individual animals webpages.
