The Union County Humane Society is a 501c3 organization dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals through sheltering, education, sterilization, and legislation. The Union County Humane Society receives little funding from county or city government and is dependent on donations from caring friends like you.

Adopting a Friend

Our Adoption Fee of $125.00 includes the following: all age appropriate vaccination(s), deworming, spay/neuter, microchipping and 1-month Shelter Care pet insurance. Our adult dogs are heartworm tested and on prevention and adult cats are FELV and FIV tested. Due to potential disease and danger, all our cats are adopted as inside only pets. All potential adopters must first complete a cat adoption application or a dog adoption application before being considered. A home visit is required before all local adoptions are approved.

We welcome out-of-state adoptions! Adopters are responsible for transporting their new pet to its new home.

For an additional charge we can arrange transportation to many areas of the US. We use  Peterson Express Transport Service. Please call us at 865 992-7969 BEFORE you schedule transport.
