Save A Pooch is just three people who have limited space but are trying to help people find the right pooch for them and at the same time give a pooch that has been abandoned or needs to be relocated. We are not yet 503c .
For most, spaying, neutering, and other basic veterinary care is either not a financial option or is not practiced due to the lack of animal welfare education. Consequently, an alarming situation exists with an ever-growing number of unwanted and uncared for animals.
No animal shelter exists to cope with the suffering, so individuals take it upon themselves to do what they can. This includes taking in as many pets as their homes or yards will allow, and paying out of their own pocket for food and medical care. Volunteers also coordinate free spay and neuter clinics with other agencies and provide transportation for animals to and from clinics.
These efforts are made in order to find a good home for the animal off of the reservation. We will also assist in transporting the dog either part way or all the way to your location, depending on distance.
If you are interested in one of our animals, we ask that you speak with us on the phone and set up a time to come visit so that you and your family might interact with your potential new pet. We also ask that you fill out a short application and provide veterinarian and personal references if possible. As most of the animals we get come from very difficult circumstances, we want to make sure they are going to "forever" homes. We will take any animal back if you find it is incompatible with you, your family, home, or lifestyle.
All of our animals are spayed or neutered before adoption, as well as having a health check and being current on all vaccinations.
We are not 501c3 organization so your adoption fee is or your donation is not tax deductible.
