Adopting A Friend

The adoption process requires that you be at least 21 years of age and present a valid picture ID to adopt your new best friend. An adoption contract for each pet is required. Adoptions stop at 4:45 p.m.

Some adoptions may require a home visit.

Who We Are

The Frances R. Willis SPCA is a 501c3 non-profit organization serving the lost, abandoned and abused animals of Dorchester County, South Carolina.

The SPCA receives animals from Summerville, St. George, Ridgeville, Harleyville, Rosinville, Grover and Oakbrook in Dorchester County.

The SPCA adopts out dogs, cats and other domestic animals.

The SPCA relies on donations of pet food, cat litter and other necessary items, including financial donations, to feed and shelter the animals of Dorchester County.

Come Visit Us

The SPCA is located at 136 Four Paws Lane in Summerville off Highway 78 next to the Kapstone Lumber Mill.

The SPCA is open on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 12 noon to 5 p.m. and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. the SPCA is CLOSED on Wednesdays. Adoptions stop at 4:30 p.m.
