Project MEOW is an all-volunteer, animal welfare group that helps West Philadelphia residents to humanely reduce their feral and stray cat populations through Trap, Neuter and Return (TNR) of un-owned stray and feral (wild) cats.

Project MEOW was founded in August, 2007. We assist approximately 250+ cats per year and have over 150 feral and stray cat caregivers in our database. We are completely funded by donations and run on a handful of dedicated volunteers who work from their private homes. We have no staff or physical building.

Since more than 49% of the cats found in the colonies we assist, will be friendly and adoptable, we also help find these cats good homes.

PROJECT MEOW DOES NOT PARTICIPATE IN “TRAP AND KILL,” where cats are trapped and taken to the local animal control facility to be euthanized.

Project MEOW adheres to all animal laws and city ordinances regarding feral and domestic cats.
