The organization is not a chapter of any other agency and does not have a parent organization. Relying on private donations, funds from the county dog licensing program and funds raised through our two thrift stores, Wild Rivers Animal Rescue shelters and re-homes abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs and cats, and provides humane education for the community about compassion and responsibility toward all animals.

Wild Rivers Animal Rescue endeavors to be a no-kill shelter. Only animals too ill or severely injured will be considered for euthanization.
The adoption fee for a dog is $100. The adoption fee for a cat is $65.
Your adoption fee includes many benefits. You receive an adoption goodie bag, including food, a toy, and coupons. All cats and dogs are up-to-date on all vaccinations, including rabies. All cats and dogs are spayed / neutered before adoption, and dogs are microchipped. All animals receive a free wellness exam, generously provided by several of our local vets. In addition, you receive ongoing support and training advice to help ensure a smooth transition of your adopted dog or cat into your family.
The shelter is open everyday - including holidays - from 10am-4pm.
