*Unfortunately our rescue is unable to take in any chinchillas right now as we have a number in final refuge that have medical and behavioral issues and just don't have the room to take on anymore*

Please try the Oregon Humane Society as they do take in chinchillas.

Who We Are

Committed to Critters Rescue is a volunteer-based small rodent rescue dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing hamsters, gerbils and mice. We take in animals that are unwanted, abandoned, can no longer be cared for by their owners, and animals from over crowded shelters. The animals are cared for until a new loving and forever home can be found. We also have a sanctuary where some animals will live out the rest of their life here with us due to age, special needs, and behavioral issues.

Adopting or Surrendering a Friend

To adopt an animal, you must be at least 18 years of age and be able to meet with us in person. Proof of a proper cage/tank is required before an animal can be released to its new home. **We do not ship any of our animals**. Each adopted animal will go to it's new home with a two-week supply of it's current food and care information. To request an adoption application please send us an email.

There is not a surrender fee for surrendering your animal to us although we do ask that owner-surrendered animals come with their cage/tank, food, bedding and other supplies when possible.

Contact Us!

We do not have a designated shelter. All animals live as family members in caring foster homes. To make an appointment to see an animal that is up for adoption, your adoption application must first be approved. We will then arrange an appointment for you to visit.
