Our Featured Pet...

News

Due to the loss of foster homes to moves and other commitments we unfortunately have an extremely limited capacity for taking in new animals. In some cases we may be able to provide a courtesy listing for an adoptable pet that can stay with its caretaker while looking for a home on this website. We also welcome inquiries if you may be interested in providing a foster home for a homeless pet.

Merry (now Emma) and all of her puppies have been adopted and gone to wonderful new homes - hooray!

Misty has finally been adopted (after spending a total of 13 months in three different shelters/rescues) and is well on her way to becoming a herding queen and a frisbee champ - not too bad for a one-eyed mutt that no one wanted!

Gracie is now a working service dog with a permanent home. What an amazing transformation for this previously starved and abused girl!

If you are interested in fostering underage kittens, a recovering animal and/or a nursing litter with a mother cat in the Corvallis area, please contact Heartland Humane Society (www.heartlandhumane.org) or your local humane society to find out how you can become a foster parent. Please contact your local shelter if you are interested in becoming a foster parent - it's a wonderful way to help save lives and enjoy the magic of baby animals without adding to the pet overpopulation problem.

Who We Are

We are a small group that is dedicated to helping animals in need. We specialize in working with untrained dogs who have run out of time at their shelter/humane society as well as animals who would not be adoptable from these organizations without some type of behavioral modification work or veterinary care. We are currently working to start a private service dog training program, transforming death-row dogs into working animals to assist people with disabilities. If you are looking for a particular kind of dog or personality type, we can probably refer you to a shelter with a possible match and/or let you know when we get a similar animal in to our rescue. We also provide underage kitten foster care for Heartland Humane Society ( www.heartlandhumane.org ). We do not have a permanent facility, and all animals are cared for using the time, resources and homes of dedicated volunteers.

Adopting a friend

Adoption fees vary by animal to help us cover veterinary and other expenses.

Come Visit Us!

All animals are housed in volunteer foster homes by busy veterinary students - we do not have a separate facility, so please use the email address below if you wish to contact us and be patient as we will get back to you as quickly as we can. Thanks!
