Typically, we have 10-15 dogs and 50+ cats available for adoption. We also have sometimes have an assortment of birds, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs and fancy rats, at any given time. If you can offer any of these animals a loving home, or if you just want to browse, please visit our shelter.

Neutered / Spayed Rabbit: $30 each
Guinea Pig: $20 each
Hamster / gerbil / fancy rat / small bird: $20 each
*Small animal adoptions do not include cage
Puppies: $340 (4 months or younger)
Small Dogs: $340 (25 lbs. or under)
All prices include a $25 non-refundable deposit, due when an application is submitted. This is to ensure the animal is held in your name until your application is either approved or denied.
Added value for all dog and cat adoptions:
A rabies vaccination can be purchased at the time of each pet adoption for an additional $25.00.
If you are adopting a dog, it is a requirement that you purchase a license for the municipality in which you reside.
Lincoln County Humane Society has been protecting animals since 1881 and serves the areas of St. Catharines, Lincoln, Grimsby, Thorold and Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Dealing with a diverse animal population we are faced with many different situations, oftentimes in severe climate conditions.
We are also faced with funding problems and encourage you to support our work with a tax-deductible donation. You can also assist us by calling to report any instances of suspected cruelty or neglect. If you have any questions regarding animal welfare, please call the shelter.
