PAWS IS OVER CAPACITY. We desperately need fosters or adopters. If you can help, please contact a PAWS member.

PAWS of Wilburton is an all-volunteer, non-profit, no-kill shelter. Our goal is to help all the unwanted dogs find loving homes.

If you have room in your home and heart to foster a homeless pet, please contact us. Pets who have lived with a family and have been house trained and had some form of obedience training are so much easier to place in forever homes. It can be a lot of work but is very rewarding.

If you have a couple hours a week to spare and would like to volunteer at our pens, please contact us. We need volunteers to help clean or just spend time socializing the dogs. It's a dirty job but you are paid well with all the puppy kisses and tail wags you can handle.

As weather permits we have adoption days in the Roy's parking lot or at Pet Sense in Mcalester or you can contact any PAWS member to inquire about available pets.

Adopting a Rescue Dog Front CoverThis free book guides you through the first seven days of Adopting a Shelter Dog. With seven simple lessons, the book helps you ease the transition from shelter life to home life for you and your pup. You can download your copy here.

Unfortunately, we don't have a physical location which can be manned all day. Our dogs are fostered at PAWS members' homes or at our shelter. If a dog you are interested in has a contact listed, please contact that person at the phone number or email listed. They are fostering the dog and will be able to give you more information and set up a time for you to meet the dog. If a specific contact is not listed, you can contact Delta at the phone number or email below to set up a time to meet any of our shelter dogs.
