What isn't news is..... We know there are a lot of animal lovers out there and the homeless dogs and cats sure could use your help. We meet the 2 nd Tuesday of each month, 6:30pm, usualy at 119 Spaulding. Check our facebook or website for updates on time and location. Come join us, together we can do so much more for the homeless pets in our city and we'd be very happy to have you join us doing as much or as little as you'd like. There are so many areas we need volunteers in, fosters, help to show pets, book keeping skills, grant writting skills, picking up donations, help with fund raisers or clinic sign ups, posting flyers, pet pictures. If you'd like to help, there is something that needs doing for anyone ! We are in need of a webmaster, if you have experience in updating or maintaining a website please let us know. We have been using Webeasy. Since some changes came about with the hosting, the current volunteer has been unable to navigate updating the site.
We do not have an actual facility/building. All of our pets are in volunteer foster homes. If you would like to meet one of our pets or want additional information, email us or call (if a phone listing is provided). Arrangements can be made for you to meet them. We do have cats/kittens showing at the Muskogee PETCO seven days a week during their normal business hours. Although Coins volunteers are not on site, Petco staff are available to assist you with adopting a new family member. Often, we have other pets posted on facebook. We also have dog/puppy adoption events and they will posted on our calendar, Facebook and the local news paper.
Our fees vary from $35--$150 depending on age, breed, vaccinations,spayed/neutered etc. To adopt a dog, you must have a secure fenced yard. We have an adoption contract. The contract states you agree to provide proper food, shelter and care for your new pet. We are utilizing an early age spay/neuter clinic and our pets can be spayed/neutered as early as 8 weeks of age.
Most of our volunteers/foster homes have paying jobs outside the home so please be patient when waiting for a response. If you were not to receive a response within 24 hours. please let us know.
Check our face book pages or website www.coins4critters.org to view our adoption contracts, events or facebook page for adoption event dates, additional pet postings..
