Who We Are

Pen Pals: A New Leash on Life is an obedience training program at the Davis Correctional Facility in Holdenville, OK. Teams of two select inmates live and work with a dog for 12 weeks, teaching basic manners and some tricks. We are the professional trainers who teach the inmate trainers. We choose temperamentally sound, healthy shelter dogs for this program, the best way to prepare them for a new life.

"For dogs & men, a dead end is just a good place to turn around!"
