Our Adoptable Pet List

ABOUT LABRADOR RETRIEVERS . . . Generally speaking, Labs are happy, friendly souls, but they are very easily bored. Labs have above average intelligence and learn quickly. Labrador Retrievers make great family members, usually get along well with children and other pets. They will alert you to strangers, but are not "guard dogs", although they will offer protection to the best of their ability. Above all, they give unconditional love.

Who We Are

Lake Erie Labrador Retriever Rescue, Inc. is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue and re-homing of unwanted Labrador Retrievers in Northern Ohio. Our organization is staffed completely by volunteers who share the common goal of finding each of our Labs a GOOD AND PERMANENT home.

Adopting a friend

To adopt one of our dogs, you may call, email our contact, or go to our webpage,, to access the APPLICATION FOR ADOPTION. Please fill this out completely and return it to the address on the application. Upon approval, you will be contacted with further information regarding the available dogs so that you may establish contact with the foster/owner and to set up a visit. There is an adoption fee associated with the Labs in foster care with LELRR, Inc. We also help private owners and shelters find homes for their unwanted Labs . . . adoption fees may vary with those Labs. ****PLEASE NOTE: This is just a portion of the dogs that we have available in our network. ****
