How to Adopt from K9 Advocacy
Animals in K9 Advocacy's care are up to date on all shots, tested for Lyme & Heart-worm disease, given all preventative treatments per our vet’s advice, and will be altered (no exceptions) prior to leaving K9 Advocacy.
To adopt from K9 Advocacy we require an adoption application, meet & greet interview from which ALL members of the family & pets must be present, a home visit, reference checks, and an adoption fee.
Dogs & Puppies: $200.00
Our adoption fee covers all medical costs for the animal of interest and altering. Our animals receive the BEST quality care from the top-rated and most valued vet in St Lawrence County. Adoption fees also aid K9 Advocacy in assisting more animals in need.
Our Mission: K9 Advocacy promotes & advocates for the humane & equal treatment of all dogs without prejudice. Through education & proactive outreach, we aim to increase awareness of responsible pet ownership
Our Vision: A better community for companion animals through pro-active outreach & community involvement.
Who We Are: We are a group of concerned individuals with the passion for equal treatment of all dogs. We advocate for more concise laws, enforcement of these laws, and for those that need a voice. We aim to offer education, promotion of responsible pet ownership, assistance programs, networking amongst U.S. rescues & official shelters, as well as, immediate need rescue and rehabilitation for dogs.
* Our volunteers are active in staying up to date with training and education.
* Our volunteers work diligently to lead by example.
We are always open to suggestions, questions, and/or those interested in volunteering to promote our mission.
We do not have a physical shelter or office at this point in time. We currently consist of foster homes & volunteers that serve the needs of our adoptable animals. If you are interested in volunteering or fostering we encourage you to get in contact to attend our next meeting. We look forward to hearing from you!
