We house all stray or unwanted dogs and cats
We are a full admission animal shelter and we adopt or transfer out every adoptable animal. We do however, have limited space so the only time we can hold an animal is if you let us know you are on your way from out of town to adopt a particular animal.
Not all animals at the shelter are shown on the this site!
We take in many owner relinquished pets daily which may be available for adoption , immediately!
All stray impounded animals without identification are held for a minimum of four (4) days. All stray animals with identification are held a minimum of seven (7) days. All reclaimed animals are required to be sterilized per New Mexico State Law 77-1-18 through 77-1-20 within 30 days of reclaim. All adoptable animals not redeemed/reclaimed within the holding period are either placed for adoption or transferred to other animal shelters or certified rescue groups.
