We do all vaccinations, spay/neuters, fecal testing, 4DX testing, and any needed medical care for adoptable animals. We want to make sure that our animals are going to responsible and prepared pet owners, so we require an application, a meet and greet with the animal and any other dogs or children in the home, a veterinarian reference, and a letter of approval from your landlord, if applicable. Please consider opening your home to a homeless animal!
We are an emergency animal hospital in Phillipsburg, NJ. Dr. William Epple opened the practice doors in 1973. After 35 years of practice Dr. William Epple retired and his son, Dr. Ryan Epple, took over the practice and opened the hospital for around the clock care.
We have a doctor and a technician available for emergencies 24/7, 365 days a year. Our love for animals has compelled us to expand our practice and open our kennels to stray or abandoned pets. We work with our local animal control to give medical care to abandoned, relinquished, or stray animals in our area. Because we are contracted with our township and are not an operating animal shelter, we cannot take in animals from anyone other than animal control.
If you would like to visit an adoptable animal, please call our practice to set up an appointment or email us for an application. We ask that you do not stop by the hospital without contacting us first. It is difficult to accept walk ins because we have day-time office hours with regular appointments and also frequently are seeing emergencies. We cannot always facilitate visits. Please call 908-454-5600 or email us if you wish to meet with one of our adoptable animals.
