Who We Are

The Pequannock Animal Shelter is a small municipal shelter that provides a temporary home for homeless, stray, and unwanted animals in our Pompton Plains, NJ facility. Our goal is to find permanent loving homes for all of the animals in our care. We are always in need of donations of food, litter and blankets, and are always looking for dedicated volunteers and FOSTER HOMES to help us help the animals. Stop by the shelter during our adoption hours to meet our wonderful animals and friendly staff or give us a call to learn how you can help.

Adopting a Friend

Adopting a friend is fun and easy. Our pleasant staff and volunteers will help you determine the right pet for your family. Our adoption fee is only $25 and most animals are up-to-date on required vaccinations. Other medical and testing is on an as needed basis. All pets adopted from this facility are eligible for 2 FREE months of
ShelterCare pet insurance.
